An ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) driver is a software component that enables communication between an application like Excel and the AddVantage Database.
Click on the lastest driver executable (ODBC-2018.1.8.766.0-win_x64) to launch the installation wizard.

To set up a data source name (DSN) in the ODBC Data Source Administrator, follow these steps:
1. Open the ODBC Data Source Administrator: - On Windows, search for "ODBC Data Sources" in the Start menu. - On macOS, open the "ODBC Manager" utility.
2. Choose the type of DSN you want to create: - User DSN: Available only to the current user. - System DSN: Available to all users on the machine. - File DSN: Stored in a file and can be shared among users.
3. Click on the "Add" button to create a new data source.
4. Select the Intersystems ODBC driver for your DBMS from the list of available drivers, then click "Finish."
5. Fill in the required information in the driver-specific setup dialog: - Data source name (DSN) (Example 'TRP') - Description (optional) - Server name or IP address (mnemonic-be.fisglobal.com) - Database name (Example 'TRP') - Authentication method (e.g., using a specific username and password)
6. Click "Test Connection" or a similar button to verify that the information you provided is correct and that the connection can be established.
7. If the test is successful, click "OK" to save the data source configuration.

In Microsoft Excel, use the Get Data Menu Item to access Microsoft Query.
Microsoft Query uses the data source to connect to the external database and to show you what data is available.
